1. When he was born, he had a huge crescent moon shaped white marking on his head, so his first name was Noble Crescent.
2. When he was 2 years old, he was purchased from Shea Stables and his name was changed to Coltrane SS.
3. He was re-named after the famous jazz musician, John Coltrane, so most of his babies have musical or train names.
4. He loves carrots, horse treats and apples, but his favorite treat, above all others, are glazed donuts.
5. Coltrane lives with his trainers and caretakers, Joel & Ashton Kiesner, in TN. Joel is riding him in the picture.
Accomplishments
Coltrane earned the honor of being named the Unanimous 2018 U.S. National Champion Park Horse in a large and very competitive class.
